5-Day Cultural Immersion Itinerary in Rishikesh - February 2024

  1. Day 1: Parmarth Niketan Ashram
    15 minutes (3.2 Km) from Rishikesh Bus Stand

    Start the day with a visit to Parmarth Niketan, one of the most renowned ashrams in Rishikesh. Attend the Ganga Aarti, a spiritual ritual that takes place every evening, followed by a guided meditation session. Spend the afternoon exploring the ashram and participating in yoga and meditation classes. In the evening, head to the Beatles Ashram to witness the mesmerizing street performances.

  2. Day 2: Neer Garh Waterfall
    1 hour 10 minutes (17.8 Km) from Parmarth Niketan Ashram

    Start the day early and head to Neer Garh Waterfall, a serene spot perfect for relaxing and spending some quiet time in nature. Take a dip in the chilly waters of the waterfall and enjoy a packed lunch amidst the scenic surroundings. Later, visit the nearby temples and soak in the local culture. In the evening, return back to the city and enjoy a traditional dinner at Annapurna Bhojanalaya.

  3. Day 3: Triveni Ghat and Lakshman Jhula
    25 minutes (8.4 Km) from Neer Garh Waterfall

    Start the day early and head to Triveni Ghat, where the Ganges, Yamuna, and Saraswati rivers meet. Take a holy dip in the waters and witness the morning rituals. Later, visit the Lakshman Jhula, a 450-feet long suspension bridge, and explore the local markets. In the afternoon, visit the Swarg Ashram and enjoy a boat ride on the Ganges. In the evening, attend the Ganga Aarti at Triveni Ghat.

  4. Day 4: Rajaji National Park
    1 hour 30 minutes (50.3 Km) from Triveni Ghat

    Start the day early and head to Rajaji National Park, a wildlife reserve known for its tigers and elephants. Embark on a jungle safari and spot the various species of animals and birds. After the safari, enjoy a picnic lunch amidst nature. Later in the day, visit the nearby ancient temples and learn about the local history and architecture. In the evening, head back to Rishikesh and enjoy a cultural show at the Swami Vivekananda Cultural Centre.

  5. Day 5: Kunjapuri Temple
    1 hour 30 minutes (28.7 Km) from Rajaji National Park

    Start the day early and head to Kunjapuri Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Goddess Sati. Witness the sunrise and enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayas. Post that, embark on a trek to the nearby waterfalls and enjoy a packed breakfast amidst nature. Later, visit the Vashishta Gufa, a popular meditation spot, and meet the local saints. In the evening, return back to Rishikesh and indulge in some shopping at the local markets.
