Family Friendly 4-Day Itinerary for Delhi and Agra in March 2024

  1. Day 1: Delhi Sightseeing
    Indira Gandhi International Airport to Lotus Temple - 20 minutes (9.5 miles)

    In the morning, visit the Lotus Temple, a unique and stunning temple shaped like a lotus flower. Afterward, head to the Red Fort, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a famous historical monument.   2. Day 2: Delhi to Agra
    Delhi to Agra via Yamuna Expressway - 3 hours (145 miles)

  3. Day 3: Agra Sightseeing
    Agra to Fatehpur Sikri - 1 hour 20 minutes (25 miles)

    Visit Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a beautiful example of Mughal architecture. Afterward, explore the Tomb of Akbar the Great, a mausoleum that houses the remains of the famous Mughal emperor Akbar. In the afternoon, visit the Itimad-ud-Daulah, a beautiful mausoleum that is often called the "Baby Taj" due to its resemblance to the Taj Mahal.   4. Day 4: Agra to Delhi
    Agra to Delhi via Yamuna Expressway - 3 hours (145 miles)

    In the morning, visit the Mehtab Bagh, a beautiful garden that offers a stunning view of the Taj Mahal. Afterward, explore the Mughal Museum, which houses a large collection of Mughal-era artifacts and art. In the afternoon, head back to Delhi and visit the Qutub Minar, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and a towering minaret that dates back to the 12th century. End the day by taking a walk through the Lodhi Art District, a vibrant and colorful neighborhood filled with public art installations and galleries.
