Start off your first day by visiting one of the most iconic landmarks in Rome, the Colosseum. You'll get a chance to see ancient ruins and learn about the history of Rome.
In the evening, take a cab to the Trastevere neighborhood. This area is known for its nightlife with pubs, wine bars, and restaurants along its narrow streets. You can start with aperitivo, an Italian tradition that includes drinks and light snacks before dinner, before heading to one of the many bars or clubs in the area.
Spend your morning exploring the smallest country in the world, Vatican City. You can visit the Vatican Museums, which house an impressive collection of art, and the Sistine Chapel, known for its ceiling painted by Michelangelo. End your trip with a bang by heading to the Testaccio neighborhood, known for its vibrant nightlife. This area has plenty of clubs and bars, and it's a popular spot for locals and tourists alike. Dance the night away and enjoy some of the best nightlife Rome has to offer.

If you have more time, consider visiting some of the other museums and landmarks that Rome has to offer, such as the Pantheon, the Trevi Fountain, or the Borghese Gallery. If you have less time, you can skip the Vatican Museums and spend more time exploring other parts of Rome.
Rome has two airports: Fiumicino Airport (FCO) and Ciampino Airport (CIA). Fiumicino is the primary airport, located about 30 kilometers southwest of Rome city center, while Ciampino is a smaller airport located about 15 kilometers southeast of the city center. Taxis, buses and trains are available from both airports, and the cost of a taxi ride from Fiumicino to the city center is approximately €48.
