3-Day Bachelor Party Itinerary for Wayanad in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Thirunelli Temple
    1 hour 20 minutes (37.3 km) from Kalpetta

    In the morning, visit the ancient Thirunelli Temple surrounded by lush greenery and hills. It is believed to be one of the oldest temples in Kerala with a statue of Lord Vishnu. Later, go on a 30-minute trek to the nearby Papanasini river, which is considered to have holy water that can wash away sins. In the afternoon, head to the Banasura Sagar Dam, which is around 45 minutes (20.5 km) away from the temple. Enjoy boating and take in the stunning views of the surrounding hills. In the evening, explore the nearby Meenmutty Waterfalls by trekking through the forest for about 2 km.

  2. Day 2: Chembra Peak
    1 hour 20 minutes (26.9 km) from Kalpetta

    Start your day by hiking to the Chembra Peak, which is the highest peak in Wayanad and is located about 17 km from Kalpetta. It takes around 3-4 hours to complete the trek, and you can enjoy the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills and forests from the top. In the afternoon, head to the Soochipara Waterfalls, which is approximately 1 hour away from the peak. You can take a dip in the cool water or go for a short trek to reach the falls. In the evening, visit the Edakkal Caves, which are located about 45 minutes (15.6 km) away from the waterfall. These caves have ancient stone carvings and paintings, and you will need to trek for about 30 minutes to reach them.

  3. Day 3: Kuruvadweep Island
    1 hour 40 minutes (38.2 km) from Kalpetta

    Spend your last day exploring the Kuruvadweep Island, which is a protected river delta located in the middle of the Kabini River. It is about 40 km from Kalpetta, and you need to take a ferry to reach the island. In the morning, take a leisurely walk through the lush green forests and explore the various species of flora and fauna on the island. In the afternoon, enjoy a picnic lunch near the river or go for a refreshing swim. In the evening, take the ferry back and head to Kalpetta for a night of local cuisine and drinks.
