Useful Tips

If you have more time, visit the El Totumo Volcano and swim in its therapeutic mud bath. You can also try horseback riding in the mountains or take a day trip to Bacalar, famous for its cienega (large lake) and Pirate legends.

If you have less time, skip the trip to Armenia and the Cocora Valley and spend more time in Cartagena beaches or take a day trip to the Tayrona National Natural Park.
