4-Day Family Friendly Itinerary for Kedarnath in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Kedarnath Temple

    In the morning, visit the Kedarnath Temple, one of the four sacred shrines in Hinduism. It's an important pilgrimage destination dedicated to Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, visit the Vasuki Tal, a beautiful lake located at the base of Vasuki peak. Enjoy the serene and tranquil environment around the lake. In the evening, attend the evening aarti at the Kedarnath Temple, which is a beautiful and spiritual experience.

  2. Day 2: Gandhi Sarovar and Sonprayag

The temple is situated at a height of 2,200 meters and offers a breathtaking view of the surroundings. In the evening, return to your hotel and enjoy a relaxing evening.

If you have time, you can also visit the Chorabari Tal, a beautiful high-altitude lake that's located at a distance of 4 km from Kedarnath. You can also take a day trip to Guptkashi, a nearby town that's known for its ancient temples and scenic beauty.
