Two-Day Adventure Itinerary in Ooty in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Doddabetta Peak

    Start your adventure with a visit to Doddabetta Peak, the highest mountain in Nilgiri Hills. Early morning is the best time to visit to catch the breathtaking views of the surrounding valleys and hills. After enjoying the view, head down to Catherine Waterfalls, approximately 28 km away for some trekking. The waterfall has a height of 250 feet and is surrounded by the lush green forests of the Nilgiri Mountains. After lunch, experience the thrill of zip lining and rock climbing at the Black Thunder Theme Park located 15 km away from the falls. End the day with a relaxing boating experience in Pykara Lake, approximately 19 km away.

  2. Day 2: Avalanche Lake
    30 minutes (12.3 miles) from Pykara Lake

    Begin your day with a trek to Avalanche Lake, approximately 28 km away from Pykara Lake. The lake offers a serene and peaceful environment and is surrounded by dense forests and rolling hills. After the trek, head down to Mudumalai National Park, approximately 30 km away for an adventurous jeep safari. The park is home to a wide range of wildlife like elephants, tigers, and leopards, and is a bird watcher's paradise. After lunch, head down to the Emerald Lake, approximately 22 km away, for some leisurely boating and fishing. End the day with a visit to the Tea Museum, approximately 4 km away, to learn about the history and production of tea in the Nilgiri region.
