Coorg Family-Friendly Itinerary for August 2023

  1. Day 1: Dubare Elephant Camp
    30 minutes (15.6 km) from Coorg

    In the morning, witness the majestic elephants bath and get an opportunity to feed them. In the afternoon, explore the coffee plantations nearby and learn about the process of coffee-making. In the evening, enjoy a campfire with your family.

  2. Day 2: Abbey Falls
    1 hour 10 minutes (35.3 km) from Dubare Elephant Camp

    In the morning, visit the Abbey Falls and enjoy the breathtaking view of the waterfall. In the afternoon, explore the Madikeri Fort, which was built in the 17th century and offers an insight into the history of Coorg. In the evening, visit the Raja's Seat, a beautiful garden with a stunning view of the sunset.

  3. Day 3: Talakaveri and Bhagamandala
    1 hour 40 minutes (44.8 km) from Abbey Falls

    In the morning, visit the Talakaveri, which is the origin of the river Kaveri. In the afternoon, explore the Bhagamandala temple, which is situated at the confluence of three rivers and is a popular pilgrimage site. In the evening, head back to Coorg and go shopping for local souvenirs and delicacies.
