Two days in South Goa - City Experience in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore the Portuguese Heritage
    30 minutes (10 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    Start your day by visiting the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is one of the oldest churches in Goa. The church contains the mortal remains of St. Francis Xavier, which are on display every ten years. Afternoon, visit Fontainhas, the Latin Quarter of Panaji, to explore the winding lanes, colourful houses, and Portuguese-style architecture. You can also visit the Goa State Museum, which houses art, artifacts, and items of cultural significance. In the evening, head to the beautiful Miramar Beach, which is a great spot for watching the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Beach Hopping
    1 hour 20 minutes (30 miles) from Miramar Beach

    Start your day by visiting Colva Beach, which is one of the oldest and largest beaches in South Goa. You can take a dip in the sea, sunbathe, or indulge in water sports. Afternoon, visit Palolem Beach, which is known for its crescent-shaped bay and picturesque scenery. You can take a boat ride to see the dolphins, go kayaking, or explore the nearby Cotigao Wildlife Sanctuary. In the evening, head to Butterfly Beach, which is a secluded spot surrounded by dense forests and is accessible only by boat. You can watch the bioluminescent plankton light up the water at night.
