If you are a fan of walking, there are some beautiful hiking paths around the village. You can explore the village's main square, the Church, the Folklore Museum, and the old olive press.
The Byzantine Trail is perfect for couples who love hiking and exploring the nature of the island. This trail, which starts from the village of Lefkes, takes you into the heart of Paros, through small churches, farms, and vineyards, before finishing up in the seaside village of Piso Livadi, where you will find several beaches for a relaxing swim.
The best way to get around Paros is by renting a car, which costs around 25-30€ per day. The island is not very big, so you can easily drive from one place to another within 30 minutes. Taxis are also available but tend to be more expensive than renting a car.
If you have more time, you can explore other charming villages like Marpissa and Prodromos. For less crowded beaches, check out Santa Maria and Golden Beach. Keep in mind that many restaurants and cafes close during the low season (November to March), so plan accordingly.
Paros National Airport (PAS) is the airport that serves Paros Island. It is located 9 km southwest of Parikia and provides domestic flights from Athens and Thessaloniki. The airport is small, with limited facilities and services, but it's convenient and close to the city center.
