Exploring Pune on Motorcycle for 3 Days in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Sinhagad Fort
    30 minutes (15.5 km) from Pune Airport

    Start your day early by riding towards Sinhagad Fort, built 2000 years ago on a hilltop, it provides breathtaking views of the city. The fort has historical significance and played an important role in many battles. Have breakfast at the base of the fort before heading uphill on a bike. Spend the morning exploring the fort and enjoying the panoramic views. Head out for lunch to the nearby restaurant and try the traditional Maharashtrian thali. In the afternoon, visit the famous Dagdusheth Ganpati Temple, located in the heart of Pune city. The temple is popular for its grand celebrations during Ganesh Chaturthi. In the evening, explore the vibrant nightlife of Pune, visit the famous pubs and breweries.

  2. Day 2: Lavasa City and Varasgaon Dam
    1 hour 30 minutes (50.5 km) from Pune

    Start your day early and ride towards Lavasa, a city built on the banks of Warasgaon Lake. The city is home to scenic hills, beautiful waterfalls, and serene nature trails. You can take a stroll around the city or enjoy water sports like jet skiing, kayaking and more. Have lunch at the waterfront restaurant and taste the local cuisine. In the afternoon, ride towards Varasgaon Dam, which is a popular spot for picnics and barbeques. Enjoy the surrounding lush greenery and take a dip in the cool waters. Ride back to Pune before sunset and enjoy dinner at the famous Vohuman Cafe, known for its delicious bun maska and Irani chai.

  3. Day 3: Pashan Lake and Parvati Hill
    20 minutes (9 km) from Pune Railway Station

    On the final day of your adventure, start by visiting Pashan Lake, a natural freshwater lake located in the western part of Pune City. The lake is home to many migratory birds during winters. Enjoy a peaceful morning walk around the lake or take a boat ride to explore the beautiful flora and fauna. Head out for breakfast at the nearby cafe and try the local delicacies. In the afternoon, ride towards Parvati Hill, which is known for its ancient temples and panoramic views of Pune. Spend some time exploring the temples and take a trek to the top of the hill.
