Four-Day Nature Itinerary for Pokhara in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Basundhara Park
    10 minutes (1.3 miles) from Pokhara Lakeside

    In the morning, explore the beautiful Basundhara park which is filled with lush greenery and a beautiful waterfall. Take a walk around the park, have a picnic, and enjoy the natural beauty. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Peace Pagoda which is a stunning white stupa with breathtaking views of the Annapurna range and the Phewa Lake. Spend the evening watching the sunset and enjoying the beautiful surroundings.

  2. Day 2: Annapurna Base Camp Trek
    1 hour 30 minutes (28.5 miles) from Pokhara Lakeside

    Embark on a beautiful trek to Annapurna Base Camp. Witness the stunning views of the Annapurna range, the Machhapuchhre peak, and the beautiful valleys as you make your way up the trail. The trek takes around 6-7 hours so be sure to pack enough food and water. Spend the evening at the base camp enjoying the views.

  3. Day 3: Mahendra Cave and Bat Cave
    20 minutes (5.7 miles) from Pokhara Lakeside

    In the morning, visit the Mahendra cave which is a limestone cave filled with beautiful stalactites and stalagmites. The cave is also home to a statue of Lord Shiva. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Bat Cave which is home to thousands of bats. Explore the cave, take a guided tour, and learn about the bats and their habitat. Spend the evening relaxing at one of the nearby cafes or restaurants.

  4. Day 4: Sarangkot Sunrise and Paragliding
    30 minutes (7.5 miles) from Pokhara Lakeside

    Wake up early and head to Sarangkot for a breathtaking sunrise view of the Annapurna range and the Pokhara valley. After enjoying the sunrise, try paragliding which is a fun and thrilling activity in Pokhara. Take in the beautiful views of the mountains and the valley as you soar through the skies. Spend the evening relaxing at the lakeside or shopping for souvenirs.

In addition to the itinerary, you may also consider visiting the Phewa Lake where you can go boating, visiting the Bindhya Basini temple, or taking a walk at the Begnas Lake. If you have more time, you can also plan a side trip to the nearby trekking routes such as the Poon Hill trek or the Mardi Himal trek.
