Head to Raja's Seat, a popular sunset point with a stunning view of the valley. The garden here is beautifully landscaped and is perfect for a leisurely stroll. This place was once the favorite of the kings of Kodagu.
Indulge in authentic Coorg cuisine at this restaurant, known for its flavorful Pandi Curry (pork curry) and Bamboo Shoot Curry. The cozy ambience and friendly service are an added bonus.
Get up close and personal with gentle giants at the Dubare Elephant Camp. You can watch the elephants being bathed, fed and trained by mahouts. You can even take a coracle ride on the river nearby.
End your day at Nisargadhama, a picturesque island surrounded by the Cauvery river. You can take a leisurely walk, go boating, or simply relax and enjoy the natural beauty around. There are also deer, rabbits and peacocks to admire.
If you have time, do visit the Namdroling Monastery in Bylakuppe, one of the largest Tibetan settlements in India. You can also go trekking in the nearby hills or take a plantation tour. For a side trip, you can visit the historical Omkareshwara temple and the Madikeri Fort. Make sure to wear comfortable clothes and carry sunscreen and water bottles.
