  1. Day 1: Edakkal Caves

    Start your day with a visit to the Edakkal Caves, a prehistoric site with rock art etchings dating back to 6000 BCE. The climb up to the caves takes around 45 minutes, but the stunning views along the way make it worth it. Spend the morning exploring the caves and learning about the history of the area. Afternoon, head to the nearby Soochipara Waterfalls for a refreshing dip in the pool and a picnic lunch. Later in the evening, visit the Chembra Peak, the highest peak in Wayanad, to witness the breathtaking view of the sunset.

  2. Day 2: Banasura Sagar Dam
    1 hour 15 minutes (34.9 km) from Kalpetta

    Start your day with a visit to the Banasura Sagar Dam, the largest earthen dam in India. Spend your morning enjoying a boat ride on the serene waters of the dam, surrounded by lush green hills and forests. Afternoon, head to the nearby Pookode Lake to rent a pedal boat or go for a nature walk around the lake. In the evening, visit the Thirunelli Temple, a peaceful and ancient temple surrounded by mountains and forests.
