Sikkim Bachelor Party Itinerary - August 2023

  1. Day 1: Tsomgo Lake
    1 hour 40 minutes (33.7 miles) from Bagdogra Airport

    Start the day with a scenic drive to Tsomgo Lake, a glacial lake situated at an altitude of 12,400 ft. Take a yak ride, or just enjoy the stunning views of the surrounding mountains. In the evening, head back to Gangtok and explore the local nightlife scene.

  2. Day 2: Nathula Pass and Baba Mandir
    2 hours (17.5 miles) from Gangtok

    Visit Nathula Pass, a historic mountain pass that connects India and China. Enjoy the breathtaking views of the Himalayas and the Indo-China border. Continue to Baba Mandir, a shrine dedicated to an Indian soldier who died in the Indo-China war. In the evening, return to Gangtok for a night of partying.

  3. Day 3: Yuksom
    5 hours (44.2 miles) from Gangtok

    Take a road trip to Yuksom, a picturesque town located in the western part of Sikkim. Go on a trek to the Khecheopalri Lake, which is considered sacred by both Hindus and Buddhists. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire and barbeque party under the stars.

  4. Day 4: Pelling

Take a stroll in the Rabdentse Ruins, which was the second capital of Sikkim. In the evening, unwind with a spa session.

  5. Day 5: Ravangla
    2 hours 30 minutes (35.9 miles) from Pelling

    Visit Ravangla, a serene town located in South Sikkim. Explore the Buddha Park, which houses a massive statue of Buddha. Take a walk in the Temi Tea Garden, which is the only tea garden in Sikkim. In the evening, enjoy a bonfire and music night.

  6. Day 6: Lachung
    6 hours 30 minutes (119 miles) from Ravangla

    Take a long drive to Lachung, a picturesque valley located in North Sikkim. Visit the Yumthang Valley, which is also known as the Valley of Flowers. Take a dip in the hot springs of Yumesamdong, which is located at an altitude of 15,300 ft. In the evening, enjoy a local cultural program.

  7. Day 7: Gangtok
    6 hours (90.2 miles) from Lachung

    Return to Gangtok and spend the day exploring the local markets and shopping for souvenirs. In the evening, enjoy a farewell party and celebrate the end of an epic bachelor trip.

Recommendations

If you have more time, consider visiting the Rumtek Monastery, which is one of the largest monasteries in Sikkim. You can also go on a trek to the Goechala Pass, which offers breathtaking views of the Kanchenjunga mountain range. For side trips, you can visit Darjeeling, which is famous for its tea estates and colonial architecture. To maximize your fun, try paragliding, river rafting or kayaking in Sikkim's many adventure sports destinations.
