In the morning, take a ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and an excellent way to enjoy the stunning views of the Himalayas. In the afternoon, visit the Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, which houses several rare and endangered species of animals, including the Himalayan Red Panda. In the evening, take a stroll along the Mall Road, a bustling street filled with shops and restaurants.
Get up early in the morning and drive to Tiger Hill to witness the sunrise over the Kanchenjunga mountain range. After breakfast, visit the Ghum Monastery, which is the oldest Tibetan Buddhist monastery in Darjeeling and houses several rare Buddhist manuscripts. In the afternoon, visit the Happy Valley Tea Estate, where you can witness the tea-making process and taste some of the finest teas in the world.
Visit the Batasia Loop, a railway loop that offers panoramic views of the Himalayas and the Darjeeling town. After that, visit the Japanese Peace Pagoda, which is a symbol of peace and tranquillity. In the afternoon, take a walk through the lush greenery of the Lloyd Botanical Garden, which houses several rare and exotic species of plants and flowers.
If you have more time, you can visit the Rock Garden, which is a beautiful garden made of rocks and sculptures. You can also take a day trip to Mirik, a serene hill station located 50 km from Darjeeling. To maximize your fun, try some of the local Tibetan delicacies like momos and thukpa.
