Start your adventure with a trek to Chembra Peak. This is the highest peak in Wayanad, and it's perfect for a morning hike. You'll be surrounded by lush greenery and a beautiful view of the valley. The trek takes approximately 3-4 hours, depending on your pace. We recommend bringing plenty of water and snacks. After your hike, grab lunch at a nearby restaurant before heading to your next destination.
After lunch, head to the Banasura Sagar Dam. This is the largest earth dam in India and is surrounded by the Banasura hills. You can take a boat ride on the dam and enjoy the scenic views. There are also several nature trails around the dam if you're up for a short hike. End your day with a relaxing evening at your hotel.
Start your second day with a visit to the Soochipara Falls. This three-tiered waterfall is a popular spot for swimming and trekking. You can trek to the bottom of the falls, and there are also several viewpoints along the way. Be prepared to get wet! After your visit, grab lunch at a local restaurant.
End your adventure with a visit to the Tholpetty Wildlife Sanctuary. This sanctuary is home to several species of animals, including tigers, elephants, and leopards. You can take a jeep safari through the sanctuary and spot some wildlife. We recommend going in the evening for a better chance of seeing animals. After your safari, head back to your hotel for a relaxing evening.
If you're looking for more adventure, you can also consider visiting the Edakkal Caves or taking a bamboo rafting tour on the Kabini River. If you have more time, you can also consider visiting the Wayanad Heritage Museum or the Pookode Lake. To maximize your fun, we recommend starting your day early and bringing plenty of water and snacks. Don't forget to wear comfortable shoes and clothing. Have a great trip!
