Vietnam's climate is tropical with hot, humid weather; breathable, lightweight, and loose-fitting clothing such as cotton or linen is recommended. For women, modest dresses, blouses, and skirts are preferred. For men, short-sleeved shirts and light pants or shorts work well. Comfortable walking shoes or sandals are essential.
Due to frequent rain showers, a light waterproof jacket or poncho and an umbrella are highly recommended, especially from May to October during the rainy season.
