3-Day Itinerary for Wayanad in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Explore Edakkal Caves
    20 minutes (6.1 km) from Sulthan Bathery

    In the morning, head to Edakkal Caves to explore the ancient rock art. The cave is a 1 km hike uphill and the view from the top is magnificent. For lunch, drive down to the nearest town, Sulthan Bathery, and try the local Kerala cuisine. Spend the afternoon at the Wayanad Heritage Museum to learn about the local history and culture. In the evening, relax at Pookode Lake, which is surrounded by lush green forests.

  2. Day 2: Visit Banasura Sagar Dam
    1 hour 10 minutes (32.5 km) from Sulthan Bathery

    Start your day with a visit to Banasura Sagar Dam, which is the largest earth dam in India. Take a boat ride to the nearby islands and enjoy the scenic beauty.
