5-Day Brussels Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium
    15 minutes (2.4 miles) from Brussels city center

    In the morning, visit the Royal Museums of Fine Arts of Belgium, which houses over 20,000 paintings, sculptures, and drawings from various periods. In the afternoon, hit the road towards the iconic Atomium, a 102-meter-tall structure built for the 1958 Brussels World Expo. In the evening, explore the nearby Cinquantenaire Park, where you can see the triumphal arch and various museums.

  2. Day 2: Sonian Forest
    20 minutes (6.3 miles) from Cinquantenaire Park

    In the morning, ride to Sonian Forest, a UNESCO World Heritage site known for its old beech trees. Take a walk or bike ride along the many trails and recharge with a picnic lunch. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Horta Museum, the former home and studio of Art Nouveau architect Victor Horta. In the evening, take a stroll around Place du Chatelain, where you can find many trendy bars and restaurants.

  3. Day 3: Waterloo
    30 minutes (12 miles) from Place du Chatelain

    In the morning, ride to the nearby town of Waterloo, the site of the famous battle that ended Napoleon's reign. Visit the Waterloo Memorial and the Lion's Mound for a panoramic view of the battlefield. In the afternoon, head to Villers-la-Ville Abbey, a 12th-century Cistercian abbey with beautiful ruins and gardens. In the evening, return to Brussels and have dinner at one of the many seafood restaurants in Sainte Catherine.

  4. Day 4: Tour of Brussels' Art Nouveau Architecture

    In the morning, take a self-guided tour of Brussels' Art Nouveau architecture. Start at Maison Saint-Cyr, one of the best-preserved Art Nouveau townhouses in Brussels, and continue to Hôtel Tassel and Hôtel Solvay, two of Victor Horta's masterpieces. In the afternoon, visit Autoworld, a museum dedicated to the history of the automobile. In the evening, enjoy a beer and some live music at Delirium Café, one of the most famous bars in Brussels.

  5. Day 5: Tour of Belgian Beer Breweries
    20 minutes (6.8 miles) from Delirium Café

    In the morning, take a guided tour of some of Belgium's best beer breweries, such as Cantillon, Brasserie de la Senne, and Brasserie de la Ville de Bruxelles. Sample some of their famous brews and learn about the brewing process. In the afternoon, head to Mini-Europe, a park with miniature replicas of famous European landmarks. In the evening, end your trip with a sunset ride around the city.

You could also take a day trip to Bruges, a picturesque medieval city with canals and cobbled streets, or Ghent, a vibrant university town with a rich history.
