Three Days of Nature in Kodaikanal in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Coaker's Walk
    10 minutes (2 km) from Kodaikanal Bus Stand

    In the morning, take a refreshing walk along Coaker's Walk, a beautiful pedestrian pathway that offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys. The walk is around a kilometer long and takes about an hour. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Kodaikanal Lake for a peaceful picnic and boating. In the evening, visit the Green Valley View, also known as Suicide Point, to admire the breathtaking panoramic views of the valley.

  2. Day 2: Pine Forest and Guna Cave
    20 minutes (5 km) from Kodaikanal Bus Stand

    In the morning, take a stroll through the Pine Forest, a serene and tranquil place with tall, beautiful trees. In the afternoon, explore the mysterious Guna Cave, which is believed to have been used as a hiding place by the Kollywood movie crew. Spend some time exploring this dark and intriguing cave. In the evening, head to the nearby Dolphin's Nose, a spectacular viewpoint that offers mesmerizing views of the surrounding hills and valleys.

  3. Day 3: Berijam Lake and Silent Valley
    1 hour 20 minutes (22 km) from Kodaikanal Bus Stand

    In the morning, drive to the beautiful Berijam Lake, which is surrounded by lush green forests and is a popular spot for fishing and boating. Spend some time exploring the area and enjoying the peaceful surroundings. In the afternoon, head to the nearby Silent Valley Viewpoint, which offers a stunning panoramic view of the valley. In the evening, visit the Kurinji Andavar Temple, a beautiful temple dedicated to Lord Murugan that is surrounded by beautiful Kurinji flowers that bloom once every twelve years.

If you're interested in adventure sports, you can go trekking in the nearby hills or go mountain biking along the forest trails. You can also visit the nearby Shenbaganur Museum, which has a collection of interesting artifacts and exhibits related to the region's history and culture. If you have time, you can take a side trip to the beautiful Palani Hills Wildlife Sanctuary or the Kurinjimala Sanctuary. To maximize your fun, try to plan your itinerary around the peak blooming season of the Kurinji flowers, which is expected to be in June 2023.
