3-Day Itinerary for Kodaikanal in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kodaikanal Lake
    10 minutes (2 km) from Kodaikanal Bus Stand

    Start your day by visiting the beautiful Kodaikanal Lake. The serene atmosphere and scenic beauty of this place will leave you mesmerized. Take a boat ride in the lake and enjoy the cool breeze. Later, visit the Bryant Park and Coaker's Walk, which are both located nearby. Try some local snacks like Aloo Bun and Bread Omelette from the street food vendors near the park. In the evening, witness the stunning sunset from the Pillar Rocks viewpoint.

  2. Day 2: Berijam Lake and Silent Valley Viewpoint
    1 hour 15 minutes (21 km) from Kodaikanal Lake

    Embark on a scenic drive to Berijam Lake, which is located in a reserved forest area. Take a walk around the lake and enjoy the tranquility of nature. After that, head to the Silent Valley Viewpoint, which offers panoramic views of the valley. You can also visit the Mannavanur Lake and Sheep Farm, which are located nearby. Try the local delicacy, 'Kodaikanal Cheese' at the farm. In the evening, stroll around the Kodaikanal market and indulge in some shopping.

  3. Day 3: Pillar Rocks and Guna Cave
    30 minutes (7 km) from Berijam Lake

    Start your day by visiting the Pillar Rocks, which are three granite boulders standing vertically shoulder to shoulder. Take a short trek to the viewpoint and enjoy the view of the surrounding hills. After that, head to Guna Cave, which is a natural cave with a narrow entrance. This place is also known as Devil's Kitchen. Later, visit the Kurinji Andavar Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Murugan. Try some authentic South Indian food at Astoria Veg Restaurant. In the evening, take a leisurely walk in the pine forests near the temple.
