* Passports

HELPFUL ITEMS
Using Your Mobile Phone Internationally:
* Plan Ahead: If you intend to use your cell phone abroad, follow these steps to avoid unexpected charges:
1. Assess Your Usage:
* Will you make or receive calls frequently?
* Will you send or receive texts?
* Will you use data for directions, browsing, or checking email?
* Your responses will guide your next steps.
1. Contact Your Cell Phone Provider:
* One week before your trip, contact your provider to enable international calling.
* Evaluate your provider options using the steps below.
1. Minimal Use Plan:
* Opt for pay-as-you-go and utilize free Wi-Fi where available.
* **Pros:** Most hotels and many restaurants offer free Wi-Fi, allowing free phone use.
* **Cons:** Free Wi-Fi is often unsecured, so avoid banking or apps with personal information. Without free Wi-Fi, roaming fees may apply (up to $2.00/min or more).
1. Full Access Plan:
* Call your cell provider to adjust your plan for frequent use.
* Pros: Many providers offer a global calling plan to reduce per-minute costs and a flat fee for data usage. Check if your current plan includes international coverage.
* Cons: There may be additional expenses, and not all countries or remote areas are covered, so inquire with your provider.
HELPFUL ITEMS
Packing Notes
* Clothing Considerations
* Ensure you have your complete uniform!
* Limit the shoes you bring: a comfortable walking pair, one additional pair, marching shoes
* Consider packing a sweater or sweatshirt, along with a jacket, hat, gloves, and scarf.
* Bring fewer jeans or pants that can be worn multiple times with different outfits.
* Pack an extra set of clothing in your carry-on in case your luggage is misplaced.
* Choose clothing suitable for the anticipated weather (average highs in the low 50s and lows in the 30s). Check the weather before you leave on www.weather.com.
Tips for Packing Light:
* Use travel-size bottles for shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, lotions, and other toiletries, or purchase travel-size products.
* Plan your outfits ahead of time. Pack slacks, jeans, and tops that can be worn more than once
* Select clothes that fit a color palette, such as two neutrals and one color. This helps reduce overpacking and limits the number of shoes needed to match your outfits.
Other Considerations:
* Bring a washcloth or bath sponge, as European hotels often don't provide them.
* Carry a small travel kit with personal hygiene products (check carry-on restrictions).
* Pack snacks for flights and bus travel.
* Bring a travel-size umbrella for unexpected weather.
* Consider earplugs and eye masks to help you sleep on the plane.
* Bring sanitizing wipes and/or a face mask for health precautions (not required).
Power Adapters
* You'll need an adapter to charge mobile phones, laptops, and other electronics.
* A universal plug adapter is necessary, available at electronic stores or Amazon.com.
* Do not bring appliances without dual voltage capabilities. Dublin uses Type G power outlets, like the UK, with a voltage of 230V at 50Hz. A plug adapter is required for visitors from the US, Canada, or mainland Europe.
* Most outlets have an on/off switch for safety.
* If you're bringing multiple devices, investing in a universal travel adapter is wise. The same adapter used for the UK/London will work in Dublin.

TRAVEL NOTES & HELPFUL TIPS
LUGGAGE NOTES

* (1) standard suitcase (checked) – max = 54 linenar inches (L+W+D)
* (1) carry-on bag (small, soft duffel bag or backpack)
* (1) personal item (ex: purse / briefcase /laptop bag / camera)
Also, note:
* STORAGE SPACE on the Coach Bus is LIMITED. Travel light! For more tips on smart packing visit , https://www.onebag.com/& www.onebag.com/packing-liquids.html
* LUGGAGE TAGS are provided for your checked, carry-on bag, and instrument.
Your NAME and CONTACT INFO should be clearly visible on each luggage tag.
* You may also consider adding an ELECTRONIC TRACKER to your bag(s), like an Apple Air Tag, Tile or similar, to easily track your bag if it is misplaced.
Check with your airline regarding their policy for luggage guidelines.
* ESSENTIAL ITEMS should NOT be in checked baggage. Pack them securely in a small personal item or a carry-on bag. This includes:
* Medication
* Money / Credit Cards (only those you will use)
* Passports, Green Cards, Visas or Other Identification Documents
* REVIEW the List of banned, restricted and dangerous goods in both Checked and Carry-on Bags before arriving at the airport.
* CHECKED BAG DROP closes 75 minutes before departure for flights to/from North America.
* Always pack two days of essential clothing in your carry-on.
PACKING NOTES
Clothing Considerations
* Make sure you have your complete Concert Attire.
* Shoes – aim for (2) pairs max – comfortable walking pair +(1) other pair.
* Consider bringing a sweater or sweatshirt as well as a jacket, hat, gloves, and a scarf.
* Bring fewer jeans/pants that can be worn several times w/ multiple outfits.
* Pack an extra set of clothing in carry-on in case luggage is misplaced.
* Clothing should be comfortable and appropriate for anticipated weather conditions (average of highs in the low-50s/lows in the 30s) – check weather before your departure at www.weather.com.
Tips for packing light
* Pack shampoo, conditioner, hairspray, lotions, etc. in travel-size bottles or purchase travel-size products.
* Plan what you will wear ahead of time and pack slacks, jeans, and tops/shirts that can be worn more than once. Don't worry about repeating outfits. Everyone will all be doing it!
* Limit your shoes. Have 1 or 2 pairs that can be worn with multiple outfits.
* Packing cubes are very helpful when moving from one hotel to another as your clothes are already organized. A packing cube set costs around $25 and is the best invention ever for travelers.
* Choose clothes that fit a palette of colors. (Example: choose two neutrals and one color). This helps fight the temptation to overpack and reduces the number of shoes to “match with your clothes”. Other Considerations
* Wash Cloth / Bath Sponge (European hotels do not usually provide washcloths)
* Small Travel Kit - with personal hygiene products (see restrictions for carry-ons)
* Carry Snacks (for Flight and Bus Travel)
* Bring a Travel-size Umbrella (for unexpected weather)
* Consider bringing Earplugs and Eye masks to help you sleep on the plane.
* Consider Sanitizing Wipes and/or Face Mask (health precautions/not required)
* Adapter is needed to charge mobile phones/laptops and other electronics.
* While on your trip, you will need a universal plug adapter, available from electronic stores and Amazon.com.
DO NOT bring any appliances without DUAL VOLTAGE capabilities
Dublin uses Type G power outlets, which feature three rectangular prongs in a triangular pattern. This is the same standard as the United Kingdom. The voltage is 230V at 50Hz, necessitating a plug adapter for visitors from the US, Canada, or mainland Europe.
* Most outlets have a, on/off switch for safety.
* If you are bringing multiple devices, a universal travel adapter is a good investment.
* The same adapter used for the UK/London will work in Dublin.
MOBILE PHONE USE INTERNATIONALLY
If you plan to bring your cell phone on your international trip, use the following steps to avoid overages and unnecessary cost:
1) Assess Your UTILIZATION:
* Will you make or receive calls often?
* Will you send or receive texts?
* Will you use data online for directions, websites, check email, etc.
* Your answers to these questions will determine your next step.
2) Contact Your CELL PHONE PROVIDER:
* ONE WEEK prior to your trip, contact your current provider to ENABLE International calling on your phone.
* Assess your PROVIDER OPTIONS using the steps below.
3) If you plan MINIMAL USE: Pay as you go and access FREE WiFiwhere available.
* Pros: Most hotels and many restaurants offer free Wi-Fi, so you can use your phone for free.
* Cons: Most free Wi-Fi is UNSECURED (You will have to avoid banking and credit card apps or other apps with personal info). Also, if you end up using your phone without access to free Wi-Fi, Roaming Fees will apply (up to $2.00/min or more).
4) If you want FULL ACCESS most of the time: CALL YOUR CELLPROVIDER and ask for a plan adjustment.
* Pros: Most providers offer a GLOBAL CALLING PLAN to cut the per minute cost and a FLAT-FEE FOR DATA usage. You can also check to see if your current plan includes international coverage.
* Cons: Added Expense. Not all countries or remote areas are covered, ask.
TO CALL THE U.S. FROM ABROAD
Hold the “0” button down until the (+) sign appears, then dial 1 (area code) number. Check with each hotel about process and costs using for their phones.

MEAL SPENDING ON YOUR TRIP
Breakfasts:
* All breakfasts are INCLUDED in your trip cost.
Lunches (if not included):
* Average, about $10-$15 USD/day
Dinners (if not included):
* Average, about $20-$25 USD/day.
Snacks:
* Budget $10-$15/day for snacks, bottled water, etc.
(Driver may have bottled water to sell. If so, it will cost less to purchase.)
TIPPING EXPECTATIONS
* All tips, taxes, and service charges for the hotels & group dinners listed in your itinerary are pre-paid. No need to tip.
* Tips for your tour manager, driver & guides are also pre-paid.
* For meals on your own, determine if the tip has already been included on the bill. If not, round to the next Euro or leave a few Euro as a tip.
LODGING & COACH BUS TRAVEL NOTES
HOTEL ROOM KEYS
* Some hotels require that you to place your key card in a slot by the door in order to make electricity work in your room.
Please remember that delays happen, so take a few days of extra medication, just in case.
I recommend that you travel with a small bag of medications. I have headache, motion sickness, stomach, allergy, chap stick, Pedialyte packets, and ear plugs in my bag.
If you have any questions at all, please let me
