Relaxed 5-Day Itinerary for Bangkok in June 2024

  1. Day 1: Grand Palace and Wat Phra Kaew
    25 minutes (6.8 km) from Suvarnabhumi Airport

    In the morning, explore the stunning Grand Palace, a complex of royal buildings in the heart of Bangkok.   2. Day 2: Wat Arun and Chao Phraya River

    Begin your day with a visit to Wat Arun, also known as the Temple of Dawn - an iconic landmark of Bangkok. Afterward, take a boat ride along the Chao Phraya River to get a glimpse of Bangkok's skyline from the river. You can also take a stop-over at the floating market, which offers an experience unique to Bangkok. In the evening, you can head to Asiatique – The Riverfront, a trendy open-air mall located on the riverbank. It offers a variety of dining options and a live cabaret show.

  3. Day 3: Lumphini Park and Erawan Shrine
    30 minutes (8.2 km) from Wat Arun

    In the morning, take a leisurely stroll in Lumphini Park which offers a serene and peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of Bangkok. Afterward, visit Erawan Shrine, a shrine dedicated to Lord Brahma and one of the busiest and most popular tourist attractions in Bangkok.   4. Day 4: Chatuchak Weekend Market and Wat Saket
    25 minutes (8.6 km) from Lumphini Park

    Start your day with a visit to Chatuchak Weekend Market, one of the largest markets in the world. You can find everything here, from clothes and accessories to souvenirs and street food. Afterward, head to Wat Saket, also known as the Golden Mount, which is located on a hill and offers a panoramic view of Bangkok. In the evening, you can take a food tour of Bangkok to taste some of the best Thai cuisine or relax with a traditional Thai massage.

  5. Day 5: Jim Thompson House and Siam Paragon
    20 minutes (7.2 km) from Wat Saket

    In the morning, visit the Jim Thompson House, a museum dedicated to the American businessman who revived the Thai silk industry after World War II. Afterward, head to Siam Paragon, one of Bangkok's most popular shopping malls, which offers a variety of luxury shops and dining options. In the evening, you can visit the Calypso Cabaret, a renowned cabaret show featuring Thailand's famous ladyboys.
