Exploring Somnath: A 3-Day Itinerary in June 2024

  1. Day 1: Somnath Temple

Later, head to Triveni Sangam, the point where three rivers meet- Hiran, Kapila, and Saraswati. Take a boat ride and enjoy the serene surroundings. In the evening, explore the nearby Junagadh city and visit the Uparkot Fort.

  3. Day 3: Gir National Park
    2 hours 15 minutes (60 km) from Somnath

    Today, head to Gir National Park, which is home to the Asiatic lion and other exotic wildlife. Take a safari ride and spot various animals such as leopard, hyena, sambar, and chital. In the afternoon, visit the Kankai Mata Temple, located within the park premises. In the evening, return to Somnath and relax at your hotel.

If you have time, visit the nearby cities of Diu and Porbandar, which are known for their scenic beauty and historical significance. You could also consider a day trip to the famous Rann of Kutch, which is known for its salt desert and cultural heritage.
