3-Day "City Experiences" itinerary for Udaipur in June 2023

  1. Day 1: City Palace
    10 minutes (3.5 km) from Udaipur City Railway Station

    In the morning, visit the City Palace, which is the largest palace complex in Rajasthan. Explore the intricately designed courtyards, pavilions, and gardens. In the afternoon, head to the Crystal Gallery, which is inside the Fateh Prakash Palace, where you can see an exquisite collection of crystal items, including furniture, crockery, and chandeliers. In the evening, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola and enjoy the breathtaking views of the city palace and the surrounding hills.

  2. Day 2: Jagdish Temple and Vintage Car Museum

    In the morning, visit the Jagdish Temple, which is one of the largest and most famous temples in Udaipur. The temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu and has intricate carvings and beautiful sculptures. In the evening, visit the Bagore Ki Haveli Museum, where you can see traditional Rajasthani costumes, puppets, and musical instruments.

  3. Day 3: Saheliyon Ki Bari and Shilpgram
    20 minutes (7 km) from Bagore Ki Haveli Museum

    In the morning, visit Saheliyon Ki Bari, which is a beautiful garden with fountains, kiosks, and marble elephants. The garden was built for the women of the royal household to relax and enjoy time away from the palace. In the afternoon, head to Shilpgram, which is a rural arts and crafts complex that showcases the rich cultural heritage of Rajasthan. You can see traditional handicrafts, pottery, and textiles being made by skilled artisans. In the evening, explore the local markets and indulge in some shopping for souvenirs and local handicrafts.

If you have time, you can also visit the Monsoon Palace, which offers panoramic views of the city and the Aravalli hills. You can also take a day trip to the Kumbhalgarh Fort, which is a UNESCO World Heritage Site and has the second-longest wall in the world after the Great Wall of China.
