2-Day Cultural Immersion Itinerary for Varanasi in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Visit to the Ghats

  2. Day 2: Sarnath and Ramnagar Fort
    Located 10 km from Varanasi City Centre

    Start your day by visiting Sarnath, a Buddhist pilgrimage site where Lord Buddha delivered his first sermon. Explore the Dhamek Stupa, the Chaukhandi Stupa, and the Museum to learn about the history of Buddhism. In the afternoon, head to Ramnagar Fort, located on the eastern bank of the river Ganges. This 17th-century fort was the residence of the Maharaja of Varanasi and houses a museum with a rare collection of vintage cars, swords, and guns. If you have time, consider taking a day trip to the nearby Chunar Fort, located about 45 km from Varanasi.
