4-Day North Goa Foodie Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mapusa Market
    30 minutes (12 km) from Dabolim Airport

    Start your foodie journey at the Mapusa Market, where you can find an array of fresh seafood, fruits and vegetables. In the morning, indulge in local snacks like bhaji-pao, samosas and chai at the vendors outside the market. In the afternoon, head inside to browse the different stalls, and try some of the famous Goan sausage, chouriço. In the evening, grab a refreshing coconut water and watch the market come alive as the locals come to shop for their dinner ingredients.

  2. Day 2: Tito's Lane - Baga Beach
    20 minutes (9 km) from Mapusa Market

    Start your day with a hearty breakfast of aloo paratha and masala omelette at Infantaria Cafe. In the afternoon, head to Tito's Lane where you can find a variety of restaurants serving Goan, Indian and Continental cuisine. Try some of the Goan specialties like fish curry rice, vindaloo, and xacuti. In the evening, take a stroll along Baga Beach and grab a drink at one of the beach shacks while enjoying the stunning sunset.

  3. Day 3: Anjuna Flea Market - Curlies
    20 minutes (8 km) from Tito's Lane

    Start your day by exploring the vibrant Anjuna Flea Market, where you can find everything from clothes to souvenirs. In the afternoon, head to Curlies, a beach shack located on Anjuna Beach, known for its lively atmosphere and delicious food. Try some of the seafood specialties like calamari, prawns and fish fingers. In the evening, enjoy some live music with a drink in hand and watch the waves crash against the shore.

  4. Day 4: Fort Aguada - LPK Waterfront
    20 minutes (9 km) from Anjuna Flea Market

    Start your day by visiting the historic Fort Aguada, which offers stunning views of the Arabian Sea. In the afternoon, head to LPK Waterfront, a popular nightlife spot, which is known for its themed parties and events. Try some of the delicious cocktails and dance the night away to the lively music. In the evening, enjoy some delicious food at the restaurant, which offers a mix of Indian and Continental cuisine.

Recommendations

If you have some extra time, consider taking a day trip to the spice plantations in Ponda, where you can see how the different spices are grown and used in Goan cuisine. You can also take a trip to the Dudhsagar Waterfalls, which is one of the tallest waterfalls in India. For a unique experience, try taking a cooking class where you can learn how to cook some of the famous Goan specialties like fish curry rice and vindaloo. To maximize your fun, consider renting a scooter or a car to explore the different parts of North Goa at your own pace.
