2-Day Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in Munnar in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Munnar Tea Museum
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Munnar town center

    Start your day at the Munnar Tea Museum, which opens at 9 am. Learn about the history of tea in the region and discover the various stages of tea processing. Don't miss the chance to taste some freshly brewed tea. Afterward, ride for 20 minutes (8.5 km) to reach the Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, which offers stunning views of the surrounding hills. Take a guided tour of the plantation and enjoy a cup of tea while enjoying the picturesque views. Spend the evening exploring the local markets in Munnar and trying out some street food.

  2. Day 2: Mattupetty Dam and Echo Point
    30 minutes (13.3 km) from Munnar town center

    Start your day by riding to the Mattupetty Dam, a popular tourist spot that opens at 9 am. Enjoy the scenic views of the dam and the surrounding hills. Take a boat ride on the lake and try your hand at fishing. Afterward, ride for 15 minutes (7.5 km) to reach Echo Point, which is known for its natural echo phenomenon. Shout out loud and hear your voice reverberate around the hills. Spend the evening at Top Station, which is 45 minutes (20 km) away. It's the highest point in Munnar and offers panoramic views of the surrounding hills. Enjoy the sunset and take some stunning photographs.

Aside from the places mentioned in the itinerary, you can also visit the Eravikulam National Park, which is known for its biodiversity and the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. You can also visit the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, which is home to several endangered species. If you have time, take a ride to the nearby town of Thekkady and explore the Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary. For a unique experience, you can also take a balloon ride over the hills of Munnar.

Maximize your fun by riding early in the morning or late in the evening when the temperature is cooler. Be sure to carry enough water and snacks during your ride.
