3-Day Udaipur Itinerary on a Shoestring Budget in July 2023

  1. Day 1: City Palace Complex
    10 minutes (2.5 km) from Udaipur Bus Stand

    Start your day at the City Palace Complex, which is spread over a vast area and comprises several palaces, galleries, courtyards, and gardens. Get lost in the history and architecture of the place as you explore the various sections, such as the Crystal Gallery, Vintage Car Museum, and the Palace Museum. After a quick lunch, head over to Lake Pichola for a boat ride and breathtaking views of the city. In the evening, visit the Bagore Ki Haveli museum to witness the traditional Rajasthani cultural dance and music performances.

  2. Day 2: Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari
    8 minutes (2.4 km) from City Palace Complex

    Begin your day with a visit to the Jagdish Temple, one of the oldest and most significant temples in Udaipur. Admire the intricate carvings and architecture of the temple and soak in the spiritual atmosphere. Next, head over to Saheliyon Ki Bari, a beautiful garden full of fountains, marble elephants, and lotus pools. After a relaxing afternoon spent in the garden, head over to the Shilpgram Arts and Crafts Village for some retail therapy and to pick up some unique and authentic Rajasthani handicrafts.

  3. Day 3: Monsoon Palace and Fateh Sagar Lake
    25 minutes (15 km) from Jagdish Temple

    On your last day, visit the Monsoon Palace, located on top of a hill, which offers panoramic views of the city and surrounding Aravalli hills. Enjoy the scenic beauty and sunset views from the palace. On your way back, stop at Fateh Sagar Lake, known for its serene surroundings and recreational activities such as boating and horse riding. End your day by taking a stroll along the Fateh Sagar Pal Promenade and enjoying some local street food.
