Two-Day Itinerary for Hyderabad in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Charminar
    30 minutes (10.3 km) from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

    Morning: Start your Hyderabad tour with a visit to the iconic Charminar, a 16th-century mosque and monument with four minarets and arches, located in the heart of the city. Take a selfie in front of the monument and shop for souvenirs and local pearls from the surrounding markets. Afternoon: Head to Chowmahalla Palace, which served as the seat of the Asaf Jahi dynasty, and explore its grand halls, courtyards and gardens. Later, indulge in some authentic Hyderabadi biryani for lunch. Evening:Visit the Salar Jung Museum, housing a vast collection of art, artifacts and antiques from across the world. End the day with a stroll around the nearby Lumbini Park, enjoying the musical fountains and boating on the Hussain Sagar Lake.

  2. Day 2: Golconda Fort
    30 minutes (12.7 km) from Charminar

    Morning: Discover the historic Golconda Fort, known for its impressive architecture, acoustics, and diamond mines. Take a guided tour of the fort and its many gateways, ramparts, and ruins. Afternoon: Visit the Qutub Shahi Tombs, the final resting place of the Qutub Shahi rulers, a complex of mausoleums and mosques set amidst landscaped gardens. Then, head to the nearby Taramati Baradari for a panoramic view of the city and enjoy some refreshments. Evening: End the day with a visit to the Hussain Sagar Lake, a man-made lake and the largest heart-shaped one in the world. Take a boat ride to the statue of Buddha located in the middle of the lake and enjoy the sunset view of the city.
