3-Day Volunteer Itinerary in Hyderabad in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Serve at the Government Hospitals
    15 minutes (6.2 km) from Hyderabad International Airport

    In the morning, you can assist the medical staff in the government hospitals, help the patients with their needs, and bring them some comfort. After lunch, you can visit the Charminar, an iconic monument of Hyderabad. You can take a stroll around the area and shop for bangles, pearls, and other souvenirs. In the evening, volunteer at the Missionaries of Charity, a home for the destitute and dying.

  2. Day 2: Teach at the Local Schools
    35 minutes (8.2 km) from Charminar

    Start your day by teaching English and Mathematics to underprivileged children at the local schools. After lunch, visit the Salar Jung Museum, which houses one of the largest collections of antiques in the world. There are over a million objects here, so you may want to plan your visit accordingly. In the evening, volunteer at the Mother Teresa Orphanage, helping the staff take care of the children.

  3. Day 3: Clean Hyderabad
    20 minutes (8.4 km) from Salar Jung Museum

    Join a group of volunteers to clean the streets of Hyderabad in the morning. After lunch, visit the Golconda Fort, a magnificent fortress built during the Qutb Shahi dynasty. You can explore the complex and enjoy the panoramic view of the city from the top. In the evening, volunteer at the Old Age Home, spending time with the elderly residents and listening to their stories.

Hyderabad is a city with a rich history and culture, so you may want to visit the Chowmahalla Palace, the Qutb Shahi Tombs, and the Paigah Tombs if you have some free time. You can also take a day trip to the Ramoji Film City, the largest film studio complex in the world, or the Nagarjuna Sagar Dam, one of the largest masonry dams in the world.
