In the morning, head to City Palace, a beautiful palace complex located on the east bank of Lake Pichola. Built in the 16th century, City Palace is a stunning example of Rajasthani and Mughal architecture. Spend the afternoon exploring the palace's various courtyards, gardens and galleries that offer a glimpse into the lives of the royal family. In the evening, take a boat ride on Lake Pichola and enjoy the stunning views of the palace and the surrounding hills as the sun sets.

  2. Day 2: Jagdish Temple and Saheliyon Ki Bari

Start your day with a visit to Jagdish Temple, a 17th-century Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Vishnu. Admire the intricate carvings and architecture of the temple. Afterward, head to Saheliyon Ki Bari, a beautiful garden that was built for the royal ladies. Spend the afternoon wandering through the garden's fountains, lotus pool, and marble elephant structures. In the evening, visit Bagore Ki Haveli, a historic mansion converted into a museum. Enjoy the cultural performances that take place here every evening.

Recommendations

If you have an extra day, consider visiting Kumbhalgarh Fort, located about 2 hours from Udaipur. The fort is known for its massive walls, temples and spectacular views of the surrounding Aravalli hills. You can also visit the Eklingji Temple, located about 30 minutes from Udaipur. It is one of the most famous temples in Rajasthan dedicated to Lord Shiva. To maximize your fun, try some of the local snacks like kachori, mirchi bada, and pyaaz kachori. Don't forget to shop for some traditional Rajasthani handicrafts and souvenirs at places like Hathi Pol Bazaar and Bada Bazaar.
