Nepal Nature Itinerary in December 2023

  1. Day 1: Kathmandu
    30-minute drive from Tribhuvan International Airport

    In the morning, visit the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple, for a breathtaking view of the city and to see the resident monkeys. In the afternoon, explore the Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and marvel at the intricate Newari architecture. End your day with a visit to the Pashupatinath Temple, a sacred Hindu temple that sits on the Bagmati River.

  2. Day 2: Pokhara
    6-hour drive from Kathmandu

    In the morning, take a scenic drive to Pokhara. On the way, stop at the Manakamana Temple, a sacred Hindu temple accessible only by cable car. In the afternoon, explore the Phewa Lake and the surrounding area. Take a boat ride on the lake and hike up to the World Peace Pagoda for a stunning view of the Annapurna mountain range.   3. Day 3: Chitwan National Park
    4-hour drive from Pokhara

In the afternoon, visit the Sacred Garden and the various monasteries and temples built by countries around the world. End your day with a meditation session at one of the monasteries.

  5. Day 5: Nagarkot
    8-hour drive from Lumbini

    In the morning, take a long drive to Nagarkot, a hill station known for its panoramic views of the Himalayas. Stop at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on the way. In the afternoon, take a hike in the surrounding hills and watch the sunset over the mountains. End your day with a relaxing evening at your hotel and enjoy the peaceful surroundings.

Aside from the main attractions, consider taking a side trip to Bandipur, a charming Newari town with well-preserved architecture and stunning views of the Himalayas.
