5-Day Family-Friendly Itinerary for Malaysia in July 2023

1. Day 1: Kuala Lumpur City Centre
   50 minutes (45 km) from Kuala Lumpur International Airport

3. Day 3: Penang Island
   4 hours (350 km) from Malacca City

4. Day 4: Langkawi Island
   3 hours (170 km) from Penang Island

   Afternoon: Visit the Underwater World Langkawi for an interactive marine experience. Take a dip in the beautiful Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls.

   Evening: Catch the sunset at Pantai Cenang Beach while enjoying some drinks and seafood at one of the beachfront restaurants.

5. Day 5: Kota Kinabalu
   3 hours (240 km) from Langkawi Island

   Morning: Visit the Sabah State Museum and learn about the history and culture of Sabah. Take a stroll in the Kota Kinabalu City Mosque, one of the most beautiful mosques in Malaysia.

   Afternoon: Visit the Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park and enjoy some snorkelling, parasailing or island hopping activities.

   Evening: Dine at the waterfront seafood restaurants at Tanjung Aru Beach while taking in the beautiful sunset view.

Other local attractions and experiences worth considering are the Batu Caves in Kuala Lumpur, the street art in Ipoh, and the Bornean Sun Bear Conservation Centre in Sandakan.
