3-Day Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in Munnar in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Mattupetty Dam
    25 minutes (10.3 miles) from Munnar

    Start your day with a ride to the Mattupetty Dam, located at an altitude of 1700 meters. Enjoy the scenic vistas while riding through the lush green tea plantations on the way to the dam. You can take a motorboat ride on the dam's serene waters to experience the beauty of the region. After lunch, visit the nearby Echo Point, which is a popular destination among tourists visiting Munnar. You can relax and spend a few hours enjoying the peaceful surroundings, while trying to hear your shouts and screams echo around the hills. In the evening, head back to Munnar to enjoy a cup of tea at one of the many tea shops.

  2. Day 2: Eravikulam National Park
    20 minutes (7.7 miles) from Munnar

    Start your second day with a ride to Eravikulam National Park, which is home to the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. After lunch, visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea plantations in Munnar and the process of tea-making. You can also buy some tea to take back home.   3. Day 3: Anamudi Peak

    Ride to the Anamudi Peak, the highest peak in South India with an altitude of 2695 meters. After lunch, visit the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary to catch a glimpse of some of the rare and endangered species of animals found in the region. In the evening, head back to Munnar to relax and enjoy the local cuisine at one of the many restaurants in the town.

If you have extra time, you can also visit the Attukad Waterfalls, the Carmelagiri Elephant Park, and the Pothamedu View Point. A side trip to the hill station of Vagamon is also worth considering.
