Relaxation in Karnataka - August 2023

  1. Day 1: Coorg
    4 hours (150 km) from Bangalore International Airport

    Morning: Visit Namdroling Monastery, the largest teaching center of Tibetan Buddhism in the world. Admire the beautiful golden temple and learn about the culture and traditions of Tibetan monks.
    Afternoon: Head to Dubare Elephant Camp, a natural habitat for elephants where you can observe and learn about their daily routine. Take a coracle ride in the Cauvery River and enjoy the serenity of the surroundings.
    Evening: Relax in the tea plantations and watch the sunset at Raja's Seat. Sip on some locally-grown coffee and enjoy the scenic beauty of the Western Ghats.

  2. Day 2: Udupi
    6 hours (400 km) from Coorg

    Morning: Visit the famous Udupi Sri Krishna Temple and witness the beautiful architecture of the temple. Learn about the history and culture of the temple and the town.
    Afternoon: Relax on Malpe Beach, one of the best beaches in Karnataka. Take a dip in the Arabian Sea and enjoy the fresh seafood caught by local fishermen.
    Evening: Go on a sunset cruise on the backwaters of Udupi. Enjoy the silence and tranquillity of the river and spot some exotic birds and animals.

  3. Day 3: Hampi
    8 hours (350 km) from Udupi

    Morning: Explore the ruins of Hampi, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Visit the Virupaksha Temple, the Vithala Temple, the Lotus Mahal, and the Royal Enclosure.
    Afternoon: Visit the Tungabhadra Dam, one of the largest dams in India. Take a boat ride in the reservoir and enjoy the scenic beauty of the surrounding hills.
    Evening: Relax on the banks of the Tungabhadra River and watch the sunset. Enjoy dinner at one of the local restaurants and try some authentic Karnataka cuisine.
