3-Day Motorcycle Riding Itinerary for Rameshwaram

  1. Day 1: Rameshwaram Temple

    In the morning, ride to Ramanathaswamy Temple, one of the most famous temples in India and a significant pilgrimage site for Hindus. This magnificent temple, known for its intricate carvings and architectural style, is located on the eastern side of the island. After exploring the temple, head to the Ariyaman Beach, situated on the western side of the island, for some relaxation and beach activities. In the evening, visit the Pamban Bridge and enjoy the breathtaking sunset view while walking on the bridge.

  2. Day 2: Dhanushkodi Beach
    30 minutes (18 km) from Hotel

    Start your day early in the morning and ride to Dhanushkodi Beach, located at the southernmost tip of Rameshwaram. This serene beach offers a picturesque view of the Bay of Bengal and the Indian Ocean. After spending a few hours at the beach, visit the ghost town of Dhanushkodi, which was destroyed in a cyclone in 1964. In the afternoon, ride to the Rama Setu View Point, situated on the outskirts of the town, and enjoy the panoramic view of the sea.

  3. Day 3: Kothandaramaswamy Temple

    On the last day of your trip, visit the Kothandaramaswamy Temple, located on the outskirts of the town, and dedicated to Lord Rama. This ancient temple, known for its architecture and sculptures, is situated on the banks of the river. In the evening, visit the Five-Faced Hanuman Temple, situated on the main road, and seek blessings.

Don't miss the Adam's Bridge, a chain of limestone shoals connecting Rameshwaram with Sri Lanka, visible from the Dhanushkodi Beach. You can also take a boat ride to explore the beauty of the marine life and visit the Kurusadai Island, known for its unique ecosystem.
