3-Day Adventurous Itinerary for Munnar in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Exploring Munnar Tea Plantations
    15 minutes (4.5 miles) from Munnar Bus Stand

    In the morning, we will visit the Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, which is one of the highest tea plantations in the world. You will have the opportunity to learn about the tea-making process, pick tea leaves, and taste different types of tea. In the afternoon, we will go on a trek to the Meesapulimala Peak, which is the second-highest peak in the Western Ghats. This trek will take approximately 4 hours and is a moderate to a difficult level trek. In the evening, we will visit the Lockhart Tea Museum, where you can learn about the history of tea in Munnar.

  2. Day 2: Adventure Activities in Munnar
    25 minutes (9.5 miles) from Kolukkumalai Tea Estate

    In the morning, we will go on a jeep safari through the Eravikulam National Park, where you can spot the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and other wildlife. In the afternoon, we will go on a mountain biking tour through the forests and hills surrounding Munnar. In the evening, we will visit the Fun Forest Adventure Park, where you can try ziplining, archery, rock climbing, and other thrilling activities.

  3. Day 3: Waterfalls and Wildlife
    40 minutes (15 miles) from Fun Forest Adventure Park

    In the morning, we will visit the Attukal Waterfalls, which is a scenic waterfall surrounded by lush greenery. You can also go on a short trek to reach the top of the waterfall. In the afternoon, we will go on a guided tour of the Chinnar Wildlife Sanctuary, where you can spot elephants, leopards, and other wildlife. In the evening, we will visit the Pothamedu Viewpoint, which offers a panoramic view of the tea plantations and the surrounding hills.
