3-Day Varanasi Itinerary in July 2023

  1. Day 1: Kashi Vishwanath Temple
    15 minutes (5.3 km) from the airport

    In the morning, head to Kashi Vishwanath Temple, one of the most famous Hindu temples in India. It is dedicated to Lord Shiva, and you can witness devotees offering their prayers. In the afternoon, visit the nearby Manikarnika Ghat, the largest cremation ground in the city, and witness the burning of the deceased. In the evening, take a boat ride along the Ganges and experience the mesmerizing Ganga Aarti.

  2. Day 2: Sarnath
    30 minutes (10.1 km) from Kashi Vishwanath Temple

    Start the day by visiting Sarnath, an important Buddhist pilgrimage site. Here, you can explore the ancient ruins and the Dhamekh Stupa, which marks the spot where the Buddha first taught the Dharma. In the afternoon, head to the Ramnagar Fort, a beautiful fortification located on the eastern bank of the Ganges River.
