Start your day early and head to Anamudi Peak, the highest peak in South India, for a challenging yet rewarding hiking experience. Take in the breathtaking views of the surrounding hills, valleys and forests as you make your way to the top. Depending on the time of year, you may encounter some wildlife along the way. After your hike, enjoy a picnic lunch and some relaxation time. Afterwards, visit the nearby Eravikulam National Park to see the endangered Nilgiri Tahr and other wildlife, and learn more about the native flora and fauna. Spend your day at Fun Forest, an adventure park located in the middle of a tea plantation. Start with a zipline tour of the tea plantations, followed by a trekking experience and a treehouse lunch. After lunch, try your hand at rock climbing, rappelling, or river crossing. Return to Munnar town in the evening and unwind at a local restaurant with dinner and drinks.
Make sure to visit the Tea Museum in Munnar town and learn about the history of tea production in the region. You can also take a scenic drive to Mattupetty Dam, a popular picnic spot. For an additional day trip, consider visiting the hill station of Thekkady, where you can go on a jungle safari in Periyar National Park.
