3-Day Itinerary for Mysore in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Mysore Palace

  2. Day 2: Somnathpur Temple and Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace
    1 hour (23 miles) from Mysore Palace

    In the morning, visit the stunning Hoysala architecture of the Somnathpur Temple, located in the village of Somnathpur. Spend the afternoon at Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace, which is now a museum. Explore the beautiful palace and learn about Tipu Sultan's life and reign. In the evening, head to the St. Philomena's Church, one of the largest churches in India and an architectural marvel.

  3. Day 3: Brindavan Gardens and Rail Museum
    30 minutes (13 miles) from Tipu Sultan's Summer Palace

    In the morning, visit the Rail Museum, which has a vast collection of locomotives, carriages, and photographs documenting the growth of railways in India. In the afternoon, head to the Brindavan Gardens, which is a beautiful garden located close to the KRS Dam. Spend some time admiring the lush greenery, beautiful fountains, and boating in the lake. In the evening, head back to Mysore and explore the local markets for some souvenirs.
