Exploring North Goa in October 2023

  1. Day 1: Fort Aguada
    20 minutes (5.6 miles) from Dabolim Airport

    Start your trip by visiting the iconic Fort Aguada which was built in the 17th century by the Portuguese to protect themselves from the Dutch and Marathas. The fort offers a stunning view of the Arabian Sea and is surrounded by lush greenery. In the morning, take a walk around the fort and explore the lighthouse. Afterward, head to the nearby Sinquerim Beach for some water sports like jet-skiing and parasailing. In the evening, visit the nearby Anjuna Flea Market to shop for souvenirs and enjoy some local street food.

  2. Day 2: Basilica of Bom Jesus
    40 minutes (15 miles) from Fort Aguada

    Start your day at the UNESCO World Heritage site, the Basilica of Bom Jesus, which is one of the oldest churches in Goa. It is known for its beautiful baroque architecture and the preserved remains of St. Francis Xavier. Afterwards, head to the nearby Mangeshi Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva and is one of the most prominent temples in Goa. In the evening, enjoy a sunset dinner cruise on the Mandovi River, which offers a beautiful view of Panjim City.

  3. Day 3: Dudhsagar Falls
    2 hours 20 minutes (46.5 miles) from Basilica of Bom Jesus

    Take a day trip to the mesmerizing Dudhsagar Falls, which is one of the highest waterfalls in India. The waterfall is surrounded by lush green forests and offers breathtaking views. You can take a dip in the pool formed at the bottom of the falls or take a jeep safari to explore the nearby wildlife sanctuary. On your way back, stop at the spice plantations to learn about the various spices grown in Goa and enjoy a traditional Goan lunch.
