Three-Day Munnar Itinerary for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mattupetty Dam
    20 minutes (9.6 km) from Munnar

    In the morning, visit the picturesque Mattupetty Dam and immerse yourself in the serene surroundings. Take a speedboat ride and enjoy the breathtaking views of the dam and the hills. In the afternoon, head to Kundala Dam and enjoy a scenic drive through the tea plantations. You can also visit the Echo Point and enjoy the echo phenomenon created by the surrounding hills. As the sun sets, head back to Munnar and indulge in some delicious local cuisine.

  2. Day 2: Eravikulam National Park
    40 minutes (14.4 km) from Munnar

    Start your day early and head to the Eravikulam National Park, known for its endangered species of Nilgiri Tahr. Trek through the lush green hills and observe the exotic flora and fauna. In the afternoon, visit the Tea Museum and learn about the history and production of tea in Munnar. End the day with some shopping at the local markets and take home some souvenirs.

  3. Day 3: Top Station
    2 hours (38.5 km) from Munnar

    Start your day with a scenic drive to Top Station, known for its panoramic views of the Western Ghats. Take a trek through the misty hills and enjoy the spectacular views of the valley below. If you're lucky, you might even spot some rare species of birds. Return to Munnar in the afternoon and visit the Blossom Hydel Park for a peaceful stroll amidst the colorful flowers. In the evening, head to the Carmelagiri Elephant Park and enjoy an elephant ride through the lush green forests.
