3-Day Shoestring Budget Itinerary for Hyderabad in June 2023

  1. Day 1: Charminar
    20 minutes (4.5 km) from Rajiv Gandhi International Airport

    For the morning, visit the iconic Charminar, built in 1591 by Sultan Muhammad Quli Qutb Shah. Explore the old market, Laad Bazaar, right next to it and shop for bangles, pearls, and other souvenirs. For the afternoon, head to the Salar Jung Museum, which houses one of the largest one-man collections of antiques in the world, with over 1 million objects. Be sure to check out the musical clock and Veiled Rebecca sculpture. For the evening, visit the stunning Golconda Fort, known for its intricate acoustic design and the spectacular light and sound show.

  2. Day 2: Ramoji Film City
    1 hour 20 minutes (40 km) from Charminar

    For the morning, take a trip to the largest film studio complex in the world, Ramoji Film City, spread over 1666 acres. Walkthrough sets of famous Indian movies and shows, take part in adventure sports, and watch live shows. For the afternoon, visit the picturesque Qutb Shahi Tombs, which are the resting place of the seven rulers of the Qutb Shahi dynasty. For the evening, go for a boat ride in the beautiful Hussain Sagar Lake, with the stunning statue of Gautama Buddha in the middle.

  3. Day 3: Chowmahalla Palace
    30 minutes (10 km) from Ramoji Film City

    For the morning, visit the grand Chowmahalla Palace, which was the official residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad. Admire the stunning architecture, including the grand Khilwat Mubarak, Council Hall, and Roshan Bungalow. For the afternoon, visit the Birla Science Museum, which has several interesting interactive exhibits on science and technology. For the evening, head to the Lumbini Park and enjoy the laser show with a musical fountain and boating to end the night.
