Start your first day with the iconic landmark of Hyderabad, Charminar. The morning is the best time to visit Charminar. The stunning monument represents the rich culture and history of Hyderabad. It is surrounded by a buzzing market where you can find everything from bangles to pearls. Explore the market, try some street food and shop for souvenirs. In the afternoon, visit the Salar Jung Museum, one of the largest one-man collections of the world, located 20 minutes (5.3 km) from Charminar. It has a vast collection of art, antiques and artefacts from Asia, Europe and Africa. In the evening, head to the Hussain Sagar Lake, located 15 minutes (4.2 km) from the museum. Enjoy a boat ride and witness the beautiful sunset view.
On the second day, visit the Golconda Fort in the morning. It is a historic fort located on the outskirts of Hyderabad, known for its stunning architecture and acoustic system. The fort is located on a hill and offers a panoramic view of the city. After the fort, head towards the Qutub Shahi Tombs, located 20 minutes (9.2 km) away. The tombs are the final resting place of the Qutub Shahi rulers. The tombs are an example of the Deccan style of architecture and are surrounded by beautifully landscaped gardens. In the evening, visit the Ramoji Film City, located 50 minutes (27.8 km) away. It is the world's largest integrated film city and offers a plethora of activities such as film sets, adventure rides, shopping and dining.
Do not miss the Laad Bazaar, located near Charminar, famous for its bangles and pearls. Visit the Chowmahalla Palace, located near Charminar, to witness the grandeur of the Nizams. You can also visit the Nehru Zoological Park, located 30 minutes (14.6 km) away from Charminar, to spot a variety of animals. If you have extra time, consider a day trip to the UNESCO world heritage site of Ajanta and Ellora Caves, located 10 hours (575 km) away from Hyderabad.
