3-Day Adventure Itinerary in Munnar (August 2023)

1. Day 1: Trekking in Anamudi Peak
   1 hour 20 minutes (21.7 miles) from Munnar

   In the morning, we will depart for Anamudi Peak, the highest peak in South India. Trekking to the peak takes about 6-7 hours, but the stunning views of the Western Ghats make it all worth it. We will have a packed lunch atop the hill while enjoying the beauty around us. After descending the peak in the afternoon, we will visit the nearby Eravikulam National Park, which houses the endangered Nilgiri Tahr. We will then end the day by relaxing at the Tea Museum, where we will learn about the tea-making process and sample some of the finest teas of Munnar.

2. Day 2: Jeep Safari and Rock Climbing
   45 minutes (14.5 miles) from Munnar

   In the morning, we will take a Jeep safari to the Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, which is located at an elevation of 7900 ft above sea level. The bumpy jeep ride will take us through the scenic hills of Munnar, and we will witness the tea-making process in the factory. After lunch, we will drive to the Chinnakanal Waterfalls, where we will test our rock climbing skills and take a refreshing dip in the cascading waters. We will end the day by watching the Kathakali and Kalaripayattu shows which depict Kerala's traditional art forms.

3. Day 3: Paragliding and Mountain Biking
   1 hour 10 minutes (27.8 miles) from Munnar

   On our final day, we will enjoy the thrill of paragliding at the Bison Valley in Munnar. The activity takes about an hour, and we will soar over the tea gardens and feel the wind in our hair. After lunch, we will head to the Lockhart Gap, where we will embark on a mountain biking adventure through the winding roads of Munnar. We will stop at the Mattupetty Dam, where we can go for a boat ride or simply admire the serene waters. We will end our trip with a peaceful visit to the Carmelagiri Elephant Park, where we will meet the gentle giants and feed them bananas.
