7-Day Itinerary for Nepal in August 2023

  1. Day 1: Kathmandu Durbar Square
    7 minutes (1.1 km) from Thamel

    Start your trip by exploring the ancient temples and palaces of Kathmandu Durbar Square. In the morning, visit the Hanuman Dhoka Palace and Taleju Temple.   2. Day 2: Swayambhunath Stupa
    15 minutes (4.3 km) from Kathmandu Durbar Square

    In the morning, visit the Swayambhunath Stupa, also known as the Monkey Temple. Take in the views of the city from the top of the hill. Enjoy lunch at one of the nearby restaurants.   3. Day 3: Pashupatinath Temple

  7. Day 7: Narayanhiti Palace Museum

Recommendations

If you have time, consider taking a day trip to Pokhara to see the beautiful lakes and mountains. You can also try paragliding or take a boat ride on the lake. To maximize your fun, try some local Nepalese cuisine and shop for souvenirs at the local markets.
