2-Day Hyderabad Itinerary for July 2023

  1. Day 1: Charminar
    20 minutes (5.5 km) from Hyderabad Airport

    Begin your day by visiting the iconic Charminar, a 16th-century monument that is one of Hyderabad's most famous landmarks. Take in the beautiful architecture and the hustle and bustle of the surrounding market. In the morning, you can find delicious breakfast options like Osmania biscuits and Irani chai at the nearby Nimrah Cafe.

    In the afternoon, head to the Salar Jung Museum to explore one of the largest collections of art and artifacts in the world. The museum features a diverse range of pieces from different cultures, time periods, and styles.

    For the evening, head to the Hussain Sagar Lake to watch the sunset and see the illuminated Buddha statue on the island. You can also take a boat ride on the lake and enjoy the cool breeze.

  2. Day 2: Golconda Fort
    30 minutes (12 km) from Charminar

    Start your day with a visit to the Golconda Fort, a historic fortress that dates back to the 13th century. Explore the various structures within the fort such as the Fateh Darwaza, the Taramati Mosque, and the Qutb Shahi Tombs.

    In the afternoon, visit the Chowmahalla Palace to see the opulent residence of the Nizams of Hyderabad. The palace features stunning architecture and beautiful gardens.

    For the evening, head to the Birla Mandir, a Hindu temple perched on a hilltop. The temple offers a panoramic view of the city and is a great spot to catch the sunset.
