2-Day Motorcycle Riding Itinerary in Munnar, July 2023

  1. Day 1: Mattupetty Dam
    20 minutes (9.5 km) from Munnar town

    Start the day early and head towards Mattupetty Dam. The morning view of the dam surrounded by hills is truly stunning. You can enjoy a peaceful boat ride or take a stroll around the dam. In the afternoon, ride towards Echo Point, which is just 15 minutes away. Here, you can shout out your name and hear it reverberate through the hills. In the evening, head towards Kundala Lake for a beautiful sunset view. You can enjoy some tea and snacks at the nearby tea shop.

  2. Day 2: Top Station
    1 hour 30 minutes (40 km) from Munnar town

    Today, ride towards Top Station, which is the highest point in Munnar. Here, you can enjoy the breathtaking view of the Western Ghats and the valley below. You can also visit the nearby tea plantations and indulge in some tea tasting. In the afternoon, head towards the Kolukkumalai Tea Estate, which is the highest tea plantation in the world. Here, you can take a tour of the tea factory and enjoy some freshly brewed tea. In the evening, ride back towards Munnar town and visit the Tea Museum to learn about the history of tea in the region.

If you have extra time, you can consider visiting the Eravikulam National Park to catch a glimpse of the endangered Nilgiri Tahr.
